It was reported on the morning of October 10 that Real Housewives of Potomac star Wendy Osefo and her husband, Eddie Osefo, had both been arrested on charges of criminal fraud. New details have emerged in the matter, revealing that the charges stem from their previous claims of burglary.
As fans of RHOP are aware, Wendy and Eddie joined the show during its fifth season as full-time cast members. Before joining the series, as well as during part of her time on it, Wendy was a college professor. Eddie is a former attorney, and he launched his Happy Eddie cannabis line in 2022. Since then, the line has expanded to multiple states, and the company has plans to expand further.
Wendy and Eddie were indicted by a grand jury on October 9 for insurance fraud, conspiracy insurance fraud, and giving a false statement to a police officer. They were booked the same day in Westminster, Maryland, and given a bond of $50,000.
As mentioned, this stemmed from the previous incident at their home. The couple reported that their home was broken into in April 2024 while they were on a trip to Jamaica. They stated that several designer handbags including Birkins and pieces of jewelry were stolen.
The court documents stated, according to US Weekly, “There was a screen with damage laying on the roof, and the window was not locked. To go in or out of that window, one has to step on the toilet. The toilet lid was down and had no debris on it. When Sheriff’s office personnel stepped onto the roof and back into the home, they tracked roof ‘grit’ back inside.”
The docs continued, “The Osefos had an ADT system and a ring camera. The Osefos activated the ADT alarm system upon leaving for vacation. During the time they were away, there was no motion detected inside the residence. There was activity, such as package deliveries, on the ring camera that was monitored remotely by the Osefos.”
Additionally, Eddie was in contact with two separate insurance companies. According to the report, “He was asked whether any of the items on the list had been returned, which he denied. He was asked if he had other insurance, but failed to disclose to Homesite and Jewelers that he was also making a claim with Travelers Insurance.”
Both Wendy and Eddie signed statements following the alleged break-in. They claimed $2,500 for the building and $450,000 for the property.
Eddie submitted his original claim to Travelers Insurance on April 8, 2024. In it, he stated that he and Wendy were wearing their anniversary bands when the break-in happened. However, he later updated it to state that her gold diamond anniversary band was also missing. The insurance company then settled the claim for $25,380.
After this, the Real Housewives of Potomac stars submitted signed letters to Jewelers Mutual Insurance. They stated that 57 items were stolen. Among the items was Wendy’s anniversary band. Then, on April 22, Eddie was interviewed over the phone, and the call was recorded. He failed to mention the previous claim and payout with Travelers.
After some time, investigators became suspicious and began to dig further. They then learned that multiple items that the couple had reported stolen had been returned to various stores and that they had received refunds. This was prior to them stating their home had been broken into. The value of the items was over $20,000.
One of the items in question was a Dior shirt valued at $1,450. It was returned on January 14, 2023. Another item was a Gucci wallet that they bought in 2018. It was returned two weeks later, and a refund of $948.70 was issued. Regarding the anniversary band, law enforcement found social media posts of Wendy after the alleged break-in that show her wearing it.
Then, law enforcement uncovered emails from Eddie to Wendy from April 12, 2024. In them, he lists the stolen items and asks if there were “additional high-value items we can add to this inventory listing (i.e., Chanel shoes, etc.)? I’m trying to get the total to exceed $423,000, which is our policy maximum.”
Upon their arrest, a search and seizure warrant was executed for their home. The search uncovered 15 items at the home that were previously reported stolen. Additionally, the investigation discovered that Wendy and Eddie were “burdened by substantial debt.”
In more Wendy and Eddie news, the couple also broke their silence just moments ago regarding their arrest and charges.
“Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband, Edward Osefo, are back home safely with their family and in good spirits. They are grateful for the outpouring of concern and support from friends, fans and colleagues,” a rep for the pair shared on October 10. “The Osefos, alongside their legal team, look forward to their day in court. At this time, they respectfully ask for privacy as they focus on their family and the legal process ahead.”
RHOA Alum Brit Eady Claims ‘Porn’ of Shamea Morton Exists Online

Brit Eady on Shamea Morton: “F*ck that b*tch”
Brit and her husband were sitting in a pool together the other night when they decided to jump on Instagram Live. Fortunately, Reality Entertainment TV screen-recorded the good parts, where fans asked her questions about RHOA Season 16.
Brit claimed to be “at peace” after leaving the show. However, that peace seemed to fade away when someone asked her to share her thoughts about Shamea.
“No, I don’t f*ck with that b*tch,” Brit blurted out.
“Shoutout to her porn series online,” she continued. “Make sure you guys go check out Shamea doing her porn.”
We’re not sure what Brit is referring to here. Is she confusing a sex scene in a scripted series with actual porn? It’s unclear, but either way, she and her husband doubled down on this claim that there’s footage out there of Shamea having sex, dating back to around 2020.
“She had a lot to say about me, but y’all ain’t never seen me get f*cked on camera. And that ain’t allegedly. That’s online, and I’ve seen it with my own two eyes,” Brit claimed.
“She was a wife getting f*cked on camera,” she continued. “F*ck that b*tch.”
Elsewhere in the video, Brit shaded her former co-stars for being unmarried. She also said that the Season 16 reunion seemed boring without her there. It looked like a lot of negativity for someone who says they’re at peace, but there was one positive thing that came out of Brit’s mouth as she discussed her time on RHOA.
