RHOBH’s Denise Richards Accuses Aaron of Causing Her “At Least 3 Concussions” & Feeling as If He Was “Crushing [Her] Skull,” Suggests She Found Evidence of Him Cheating
Denise Richards Accuses Aaron Phypers of Abuse, Concussions, and Cheating in Court Testimony
Denise Richards opens up about her troubled marriage with Aaron Phypers, accusing him of causing multiple concussions, physical abuse, and infidelity, as she seeks a permanent restraining order.
In an explosive court appearance on October 7, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Denise Richards provided shocking details about her troubled marriage to estranged husband Aaron Phypers. Richards, 54, is seeking to make her temporary restraining order against Phypers, 53, permanent, after alleging a pattern of physical abuse, including multiple concussions and emotional distress.
Richards accused Aaron of causing at least three concussions, revealing the traumatic impact of their turbulent relationship. She explained how medical scans at his wellness center confirmed the injuries after experiencing debilitating headaches, nausea, and dizziness.
“I knew I had concussions because the equipment at Aaron’s wellness center confirmed it,” Richards testified. "The first concussion happened in January 2022 when I had a black eye. The second was later that year when Aaron allegedly slammed me against a concrete wall. Then, in April of this year, I sustained a third concussion in a Chicago hotel when Aaron allegedly squeezed my head so hard, it felt like he was crushing my skull.”
According to Richards, the third concussion occurred after an argument about text messages she sent to another man. She recounted the physical pain she endured afterward, noting that she felt constant throbbing headaches, dizziness, and nausea. Despite these grave injuries, Richards revealed that she never called the authorities, and noted that the diagnosis was made by a chiropractor, not a medical doctor.
Richards went on to accuse Phypers of infidelity, suggesting that she found evidence of him cheating. "I saw the d*ck pics you took," she claimed, denying any infidelity on her part.
In an emotionally charged moment, Richards spoke candidly about her shock and devastation when Phypers filed for divorce. “I really thought you were my soulmate,” she confessed through tears. “I tried my hardest… [you were] the one person I always thought I could trust and that would protect me… [But] you’ve hit me too many f*cking times, and each time it’s getting worse.”
Richards then compared her marriage to Phypers to her previous marriage to actor Charlie Sheen, with whom she shares two daughters, Sami, 21, and Lola, 20. "Things were bad with Charlie and I, but he never hit below the belt," she stated. "I don’t know you. Charlie, I knew. Every other ex, I knew. You, I don’t know. That’s why this has been really f*cking hard."
As she cried while watching a video clip from August 21, where she informed Aaron that she was moving out of their shared home, Richards emotionally expressed how deeply the betrayal had affected her. “I don’t even know who the f*ck you are,” she added. “And I gave you everything.”
In response to Richards’ testimony, a source close to Aaron Phypers issued a statement to PEOPLE, asserting that Phypers plans to fight the domestic violence protection order. “Aaron is planning on emerging victorious on this domestic violence protection order. If telling the truth is ‘below the belt’ then so be it. There are many sincere stories in the last five years of Denise excitedly expressing Aaron’s character and kindness,” the statement read.
As the legal battle continues, it remains clear that both sides are determined to stand their ground, with Richards seeking justice for the emotional and physical toll she claims to have endured in her marriage to Phypers.
