Alix Earle Reveals Why She Removed Her ‘Maleficent’ Cheekbones During ‘Dancing With the Stars’
Alix Earle (briefly) got into full character while playing Maleficent during Dancing With the Stars’ Disney Night.
Ahead of the show, Earle, 24, took to TikTok on Tuesday, October 7, to show off prosthetic cheekbones that matched
“The prosthetic cheekbones were on, and then they were off,” Earle said. “I didn't end up dancing in them. The [glam] team is so amazing, and they looked incredible. It was just a little less movement allowed in the face for those facial expressions that I really wanted to make.”
Earle, who is competing with pro Val Chmerkovskiy, added, “We ultimately decided to take them off. But, I mean, we've been in glam since 6am. The design and glam and costume team and everyone on the show just does such an incredible job of thinking outside of the box and really helping the piece come to life.”
The rest of Earle’s glam featured a sharp contour, dark, angled eyebrows, red lips, dramatic winged eyeliner and smokey eyeshadow. She had black wavy strands poking out of her horns, and completed her look with bright green contacts. Her costume was complete with a cutout black beaded dress with flowy sleeves.
Earle also opened up to Us about how “fun” it was to play a villain for the week: “It was very empowering, but I will say it's also been a struggle, and it was something that was a little bit uncomfortable for me.”
She continued, “In the past five days of us rehearsing this dance, me growling at Val or making an angry face is a little bit uncomfortable for me than [instead of] a nice smile. It definitely took me out of my comfort zone. At the end of the day, it was something I'm so, so proud of, and I think was the most fun to perform by far.”

Earle and Chmerkovskiy, 39, scored a 24 out of 30. They were safe from the elimination, which sent Hilaria Baldwin and Gleb Savchenko home.
Next week, Earle is preparing a routine for the show’s Dedication Night. She got candid about the upcoming dance, telling

“Dedication night is going to be definitely different for me and showing a different side of me,” she said. “Talking about a story that is very personal and very emotional for me and my family as well, it’s going to be a very therapeutic week for me.”
Earle added that she hopes the dance shows her fans “a different side” of her that they “may not know.”
“And hopefully it's a relatable story to anyone out there,” she added.
Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+ at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesdays. Episodes are available to stream on Hulu the next day.

Get a Close-Up Look at Olivia Flowers' "Dream Ring" from Fiancé Alex Williams
Southern Charm's Olivia Flowers just got engaged to Alex Williams on September 25 in New York City. More recently, she shared a new look at the stunning diamond engagement ring her now-fiancé gifted her during the proposal.
In an October 5 Instagram Story, Olivia revealed a close-up look at her gorgeous ring from Nicole Rose Jewelry. "Nicole, I'm glad you had a feeling this proposal was coming before I did," Olivia wrote over a snap of the oval-shaped diamond set on a yellow gold band. "[T]hank you for creating our dream ring."
The ring, which Alex told PEOPLE on October 3 was a "classic, simple, and elegant" find, features a 4-carat diamond on an 18k yellow gold band. See the jaw-dropping details of the ring in the photo below:
When Alex popped the question at JW Marriott Essex House in Manhattan, he made sure Olivia's friends and family were included.
"Olivia has such an incredible group of friends, from elementary school through to college, and she's very close with her parents, so I knew involving them somehow would mean a lot to her," Alex shared with
Olivia Flowers' Engagement Celebration
Following the proposal, Olivia took to her Instagram Stories to reveal how she and her closest pals and family members were continuing to celebrate the special moment in the week that followed.
A celebration took place at Supperland in Charlotte, North Carolina, with several photos of the proposal on display.
Friends and family enjoyed dinner and delicious-looking cocktails while Olivia and Alex looked as happy as ever to celebrate their future nuptials.
Additionally, Alex gifted Olivia with several Ring Pops — apparently for a special reason. "Funny back story on the Ring Pops," Olivia shared in an Instagram Video. "I told him a very long time ago if anyone ever proposed to me I wanted Ring Pops and that's how we ended up here!"
How Did Olivia Flowers' Fiancé Alex Williams Propose?
In the aforementioned interview with PEOPLE, Alex shared that he agreed with Olivia's mom Robin's idea of proposing to Olivia while they were all in New York City. Once that plan was set, he then enlisted Olivia's social media manager to tell Olivia she was doing a photo shoot for the hotel.
Once the infleuncer got to an outdoor area of the hotel suite, however, Olivia was happily surprised when Alex got down on one knee.
"Next thing I know, Alex is...grabbing a box out of his sports coat and dropping a knee... then I drop my phone," Olivia shared with the outlet. "Alex said, 'Olivia Barbara Ellen Flowers. You're the girl of my dreams. Became the love of my life. And I’d like to ask, Will you marry me?'"
