Love Island’s Megan Forte-Clarke makes waves with new ‘mermaid’ hair and WOAH

The civilian Love Island might be over and out for another summer, but at least we've got a couple of dozen new Islanders unleashed upon the showbiz scene to obsess over.

And, let's be honest, Love Island 2025 offered us some seriously top tier Islanders. Toni Laites, Shakira Khan, Yasmin Pettet, Cach Mirjah Mercier, Andrada Pop and Alima Gagigo, anyone? YES PLEASE.

They may be off our screens for now, but we're already spending a worrying amount of our time monitoring their socials here at heat Towers just to see what they do next. Who are they hanging out with? What brands are they working with? Who are they beefing with? Which podcasts are they spilling the tea on? What are they doing with their hair so we can mimic accordingly?

In the case of one particularly legendary Islander we can actually answer that last one right now, and trust us when we say, we will be mimicking accordingly as soon as payday arrives.

Series 12 Dublin-based diva, Megan Forte-Clarke took to her Instagram story over the bank holiday weekend to hard launch her new 'mermaid' her and somehow she's gone from a ten to a 12.

Brushing her fingers through her long wavy locks (avec bangin' bangs), Megan wrote, 'I feel like a mermaid' and 'new hair unlocked.'

Celebrity hair stylist James Lear is responsible for Megan's fab new 'do and this isn't the first time he's worked some serious hair magic on a Love Island girlie, as he also calls Love Island stars Meg Moore, Jess White, Harriett Blackmore, Nicole Samuel and Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu clients of his.

OG Megan initially coupled up with Tommy Bradley in the Love Island villa, and shared a close connection with him for several weeks. This then went sour when Conor Phillips showed interest in her, leading to her splitting from Tommy.

Megan was dumped from the villa on day 19 after the public voted her the least popular girl (at the time, the nation was very Team Tommy), just as her romance with Conor was starting to heat up.

She later returned to the villa with Blu Chegini on day 44, resumed dating Conor, and remained with him until they were voted the least compatible couple and dumped again just before the final on day 53.

Megan and Conor are still dating in IRL – in fact, Conor took that second stunning snap of her mermaid hair.
