In the Monday, October 27 episode of their podcast, Reasonably Shady, Gizelle and Robyn unpacked Wendy and Eddie’s charges, their bizarre mugshots, and the moment they realized RHOP had landed in another legal scandal. Both ladies said their phones blew up with texts and phone calls the moment the news broke.
“I am highly shocked, surprised, and disappointed by these charges,” Robyn said, with Gizelle adding, “I’m so disappointed.”
Robyn continued, “Of course, you’re innocent until proven guilty, but if everything in these chagrin documents is true, I’m highly disappointed, and then I just have so many questions, like why?”
Gizelle said that she felt “sad” because of Wendy and Eddie’s children. Even if they come out of this unscathed, it’s going to have an impact on their family. With that in mind, Gizelle found it hard to believe that they would risk their freedom and reputation over “materialistic” things. On the other hand, Robyn felt like the evidence suggests they did just that.
“What else was it for, though?” Robyn argued. “Cause it was highly intentional, highly planned, not well thought out, but thought out.”
She continued, “I saw a clip where she was kind of talking about how well Happy Eddie is doing, so it makes me think, okay, well, was that an exaggeration? Was that not the truth? I don’t know, but it’s also like, why? More why questions. Why did they think they could get away with this?”
The ladies were also feeling a little puzzled by the court documents submitted by Wendy’s team last week, where she claimed her arrest was “illegal.” However, they’re watching this all unfold in real time with the rest of us. Our questions will hopefully be answered as the case slowly navigates through the system.
