Y&R Recap – Nov 3: Sharon and Nick Chase Shocking Matt Clark Sighting as Claire Gives In to Passion With Holden
Last Episode

On the last episode of Y&R, it was Halloween night, and Claire hooked up with Holden, while Sharon dug into Noah’s accident and was stunned to see a ghost from her past: Matt Clark!
Claire’s Hotel Room in LA
Claire and Holden roll around in bed, enjoying each other’s bodies as they make passionate love.

Afterward, they lie in bed, sweaty and exhausted. Holden hopes Claire is okay… Things happened pretty quickly between them and he hopes she didn’t feel pressured.
Claire smiles. She’s fine, and is surprised that she let herself go like that. It was really good, and she wasn’t expecting that when she woke up this morning! She kisses Holden.
Holden smiles. He has no regrets either.

Claire says she’s not the same person as she was before… In a good way!
Holden laughs and asks if he should stay overnight.
Claire says her family is staying in the same hotel, so she’s worried that they might see him coming out of her room. She says he can leave before the morning and kisses him passionately again and pins him to the bed.

A bit later, Holden gets dressed. He says he’d love to see her again tomorrow.

Claire laughs and hopes he will. They kiss again, and Holden leaves.
She smiles as she recalls their night of passion, but then looks a bit upset as she thinks about Kyle leaving LA. She wonders if she made the right move. She picks up her phone and sees the picture of Harrison and Kyle that he’d sent. She sends Kyle a message. “You still awake?”

The Abbott Mansion
Kyle sits alone in the living room, drinking and thinking about Claire.
Jack comes downstairs and asks how big Harrison’s candy haul was. He grins when he sees the bowl full of candy and takes one for himself. He asks if Kyle wouldn’t mind if he had a nightcap with him; he figures Kyle could use the company.

They talk about their past Halloween treats and Connor’s party.
Kyle grins and says that Harrison gave him an award for being the only parent at the party to be wearing a costume.
Jack wishes he was up to see Kyle in his costume. He figures that Claire must be supporting her family in LA, since Noah is in hospital there.

Kyle wonders if he made a mistake leaving Claire in LA when he did.
Jack says he had bad timing when he had Kyle come back to Genoa City.
Kyle says Victor forced his hand; it wasn’t Jack. So much has changed between him and Claire since he got back from Nice, which he admits was his fault. He should have told Claire everything right from the beginning before Audra got to her. He was looking forward to marrying Claire, but after seeing her in LA, he can’t see that as being possible anymore. He thinks he’s lost her for good, and wishes he could convince Claire that Holden is a bad seed. He thinks Holden and Sienna have some history, and Sienna is holding back on telling him about it.

Jack thinks Kyle shouldn’t worry too much about Claire… She’s got a good head on her shoulders and needs time to clear her mind. He reminds Kyle that Claire is still grieving the loss of her father and that her emotions are all over the place. The way Claire found out about Audra was not ideal, and Claire’s had a lot to process in a short amount of time. Kyle has to trust that Claire knows he’s a good man. It’s Claire’s choice, and Kyle shouldn’t push her to make that choice!
Kyle sighs. It’s frustrating to have to sit there and do nothing. He says that Harrison begged him to send a picture of them in costume to Claire, but Claire never responded. He sighs and says that Harrison loves Claire.

Jack says Kyle needs to consider the possibility that he and Claire might not have the happy ending that he hopes for. The ball is in Claire’s court now, and there’s nothing that he can do!
Kyle isn’t so sure. If he can prove that Holden isn’t who Claire thinks he is, it could help! He’ll do anything he can to protect her from Holden.
The Shadow Room
Outside the bar, Sharon looks Matt Clark in the eye. She can’t believe it’s him… He’s dead!

“Mitch” professes ignorance. He says she must be confused and heads into the bar.
Sharon tries to follow him in, but is held back by the bouncer.

Noah’s Hospital in LA
Sharon finds Nick at the hospital. She tells him that she ran into

Nick doesn’t believe it. He saw Matt Clark die after he tried to frame Nick for murder!
Sharon says she looked Matt in the eye and he said that she was confused, but she
Nick is still incredulous, but says he believes her. He asks her to tell him everything.

Sharon says the bouncer called him
Nick shakes his head. This wouldn’t be the first time that Matt came back into their lives!
Sharon wonders if Matt went after Noah to get back at them. She remembers Sienna saying that Mitch invited Noah to LA.

Nick thinks the only way they can get to the bottom of this is if he sees Mitch/Matt with his own eyes.
Claire’s Hotel Room
The next morning, Victoria drops by Claire’s room. She says she was reading a self-help book that Cole left for them and asks if Claire is feeling any better.

Claire smiles and says she’s happy that Victoria and Nikki are in town. She says she’s not sure whether she’s learned something about herself or whether she’s running away from commitment.
They sit down on the couch, and Victoria wonders why Claire is putting so much pressure on herself. She should just take time to figure things out and not worry what the future holds. She won’t see the future coming; you’ll never see what is coming next. She asks if she’s enjoying her time in LA with Holden.
Claire says she is; Holden showed her so much in town. She shows her mom the picture that Kyle sent and says it gutted her to see it, because she was supposed to be the third “house” in their costumes. She’s worried that she let Harrison down by not being there at Halloween; she loves that little boy!

Victoria knows she’s fond of Harrison, but that doesn’t mean she’s destined to be in a relationship with his father. She can still be in Harrison’s life and shouldn’t feel guilty about living her
The Shadow Room
Nick and Sharon show up at the bar, but the bouncer stops them. Nick pulls out some money to bribe the bouncer, but he won’t budge.

Sharon tells the bouncer that they came to LA because their son was in an accident and this was the last place he was seen that night. They know that their son was talking to Sienna; would he let them in to talk to them?
The bouncer shakes his head. Mitch and Sienna have left for the night.
Sharon shows the bouncer a picture of Noah on her phone. She asks if he recognizes him.

Nick slips into the bar while the bouncer is preoccupied and confronts Sienna inside. He wants her to tell him all about Matt Clark.
Sienna shrugs. She doesn’t know the name; should she?
Nick says that Sharon said she saw a person named Matt Clark outside the club, and the bouncer called him Mitch. He asks to meet Mitch face-to-face.

Sienna says that Mitch isn’t there.
Nick doesn’t believe her. She’s obviously hiding something!
Sienna says she’s not hiding anything. He can’t keep coming in and interrogating her about this, or she’ll have to ban him from the club.

Nick says to tell Mitch that Nick Newman wants to meet with him as soon as possible. He leaves the club.
Mitch walks up to Sienna and asks who she was talking to.
Sienna says that was Noah’s father, Nick Newman, and he thinks that Mitch is actually someone named Matt Clark.

Outside the club, Sharon asks if Nick saw Matt inside.
Nick says that he only saw Sienna and told her that he wanted to speak to her husband. He needs to figure out a way to get to Matt without him being warned first.

'Fire Country' Fans, Stephanie Arcila Broke Her Silence About Her Season 4 Exit

This story contains spoilers from Fire Country season 4.
As Fire Country continues to air every Friday night on CBS, it's hard not to notice a fan-favorite character missing.
For those who tuned into the season 4 premiere earlier in October, they may remember seeing Gabriela Perez (played by Stephanie Arcila) leave Edgewater in the aftermath of the fire that killed Vince Leone (portrayed by Billy Burke). She also offered to help recruit potential first responders for Cal Fire around the U.S., as she's trying to figure her feelings out for Bode Leone (Max Thieriot). And even though she has emotional ties to Edgewater and everyone she'd leave behind (like her dad Manny, played by Kevin Alejandro), it was clear she needed to do this for herself and take the risk.
Given how Gabriela's influence on the CBS drama has drawn viewers in over the course of the show, it does leave us wondering why Stephanie Arcila left Fire Country. As it turns out, the show's higher-ups alluded to Stephanie's exit earlier in the year.
When executive producer/co-creator Joan Phelan and showrunner Tia Napolitano spoke to Deadline about Gabriela after the season 3 finale, they explained how they hoped to take Fire Country in a different direction for season 4.
"It really just comes down to what’s best creatively," Joan explained in April 2025.
"There’s danger in this sort of job, so we wanted to honor that and really up the stakes," Tia added in the same interview. "You want the opportunity for that door to open, for someone to walk out of it, or for someone to walk into it. We’re really leaning into that aspect of the show as well as honoring the authenticity."

Fire Country has proven that point well, with Bode questioning his future and his mom Sharon Leone (Diane Farr) trying to grieve the loss of her husband. But what does this mean for Stephanie and the potential to see her back on the show?
While it's unclear if Gabriela will ever return to Edgewater, Stephanie did note there's always a chance for the paramedic to make an appearance.
"I never say never," she stated in a separate Deadline interview in April 2025. "Life takes us through so many avenues, and Gabriela is such a gift to me in my career, personally and professionally... As for the future, I’ve learned that these writers always surprise me, and I have no expectations, just excitement."
Well, keeping this in mind, we definitely would love to see Gabriela—and subsequently, Stephanie—back our on TV screens. And who knows? We're keeping our fingers crossed for Gabriela to find her romantic happily ever after with Bode in the future.
