"I've seen the episodes, and it was pretty clear that he had stronger connections with someone else," Debbie confessed, her voice tinged with vulnerability. "While we had a strong connection, I just didn't feel we were on the same page." Despite her best efforts to open up and be vulnerable, she couldn’t shake the feeling that something was missing.
Debbie, known for her sharp intuition, explained that while she gave it her all, pulling emotions out of Mel was difficult. "I’m very intuitive, and it was hard to pull stuff out of him," she said. "I really opened up, but I was hopeful." The high point of her experience came during the hometown dates, where she felt elated, believing she could be on the verge of finding love. But her hopes were crushed when she was sent home just before the fantasy suites.

"That was a tough one," Debbie admitted. "To go from that high of the hometowns, and have my family be so excited for me... I thought I had finally found my person. But then to be sent home that close to an overnight date and that extra time with him... I felt a little cheated." Despite the pain, Debbie has come to accept that everything happens for a reason. "Honestly, I think everything happens for a reason."
Looking forward, Debbie is ready to find her true match, even if it’s not Mel. "I’m ready for someone who takes care of themselves, someone funny, smart, and pursuing a spiritual path," she shared. "I want someone who is positive about life and loves what they do... someone romantic."
Debbie also weighed in on Mel’s remaining choices: Peg and Cindy. "Each of these ladies brings something different out of Mel," she observed. "Peg brings out the fun. She’s light-hearted, childlike, and just easy-going. I think that’s what he might be looking for right now, just something simple and fun, without too much seriousness."
On the other hand, Debbie had high praise for Cindy, describing her as "so lovely, compassionate, kind, and deep. She’s very present." If she had to choose, Debbie believes Mel would ultimately choose Peg. "But honestly, I think both ladies are great," she added.
As for Debbie, her journey may have ended in heartbreak, but she’s not giving up on love. "I’m ready for my person," she said with a hopeful smile. The Golden Bachelor may not have been her fairy tale, but Debbie’s story is far from over.
