RHOSLC Star Admits She Almost Left the Series and Which Castmate Supported Her
Whitney Rose is known for letting the Bravo cameras capture her true, authentic self, and she has spent season six of “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” admitting several hard truths. A bad business deal drove her brand into the ground, putting extra strain on her marriage to Justin Rose. Season three of “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” featured Whitney and her third cousin, Heather Gay, at a rocky point in their relationship. Whitney felt that Heather didn’t have her back as Lisa Barlow spread rumors about her. The ladies fought hard during a cast trip to Arizona, as Whitney explains, “I really dislike watching when Heather and I fight in lingerie in Arizona. That was so hard. I was so intoxicated, I was so emotional. I’d just shared with the group that I was processing some trauma from my childhood, and my best friend and I got into a fight, and that was terrifying.”
Ironically, an unlikely person stepped up to support Whitney as she spiraled. “It was the hardest season of my life, because Heather and I were at odds, and I didn’t have my girl, and Lisa stepped up and filled that role for me because I didn’t have Heather.”

Whitney was ready to walk away from RHOSLC, but her husband stopped her. “I was actually going to quit and send my email to Bravo. Justin literally pulled up next to me in the car and said, ‘I got fired,’ so I couldn’t quit.”
While Whitney really wanted to leave, she knew that she had to stick around for financial reasons. It was Lisa who supported her through the rest of filming.
“I didn’t feel like I could, emotionally, mentally do it with what I was processing in my life. But I had to step up for my family and stay. Lisa was actually the one who convinced me I could do this.”
The reality star admits that she has had serious regret over her fun and free-spirited side costing Justin his job.
“That hit me at such a deep level that I felt like I had to change that part of me, to conform to who I thought Whitney had to be. In the end, I ended up losing it all anyway, so we’re getting back to being the fun, free-spirited, loving, wild, sexy Whitney that I am.”
