Penguins' broadcast schedule includes 16 nationally televised games
The Pittsburgh Penguins will play nearly a fifth of their games on national television for the upcoming season, the NHL and its network rightsholders, ESPN and Turner Sports, announced Wednesday.
Starting with their season opener Oct. 7 at the New York Rangers, the Penguins will take part in 16 nationally broadcasted games — five on ESPN, four on ABC, one on ESPN+/Hulu and six on TNT.
SportsNet Pittsburgh enters its third season as the local broadcast partner for the Penguins. Josh Getzoff returns as the play-by-play voice, with a rotation of analysts Colby Armstrong and Phil Bourque. Hailey Hunter and Dan Potash are back as rinkside reporters.
Fans can also hear Penguins games on 105.9 The X and the Penguins Radio Network. Joe Brand will handle play-by-play duties with Bourque providing color commentary.
