Kathy Hilton Reveals How Husband Rick Supports Their Daughter Paris Hilton’s DJ Career
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Kathy Hilton and tycoon Richard “Rick” Hilton have nothing but love for their children and grandchildren. That was apparent when Paris Hilton gave a special shoutout to her dad while working behind the deejay booth.
The socialite and all-time party host spun for Call Her Daddy podcast host Alex Cooper’s Unwell Vegas extravaganza on Oct. 11, part of a two-day pool party at Las Vegas’s Cosmopolitan Hotel. Paris’ mom surprised fans when spotted behind the booth during a takeover of Paris’ skincare brand, Parívie, as shared by the brand on Instagram. Kathy wore a bucket hat while garnering cheers from the massive crowd. In the mic, the RHOBH fashion designer and philanthropist said, “Paris! Your mother’s here. Where are you? Get down here now.”
All said, there was one sweet moment which Kathy posted to her Instagram Stories, later to be shared by Rick, her husband of 45 years. Glammed up in hot pink diamantés and long pig tails, Paris told the partygoers, “My dad is watching on FaceTime, everyone say ‘Hi, Rick!’ Hi, Dad, we love you!” Kathy added three heart emojis to show her support.
Plenty of Bravolebs showed up to the event, including 90210-er Erika Jayne, The Real Housewives of New York City’s Sonja Morgan, and The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Meredith Marks, according to Bustle. Us Weekly reported RHOSLC’s Heather Gay was there, too.
Why Paris Hilton's DJ career is a dream come true
The “Unwell” event came less than a month after Paris opened the doors to a celeb-studded guest list for her “very first party” at her Los Angeles-based Slivington Manor. Her aunt and original RHOBH cast member, Kyle Richards, had “fun with family and friends,” including her daughters (Paris’s cousins), Alexia Umansky, Sophia Umansky, Portia Umansky, and Farrah Brittany Aldjufrie.
Said Paris, "Opening the doors to Club Paris and dancing the night away with my friends was beyond magical. The energy, the love, the music — everything felt like a dream come true.”
Paris’s DJ career has taken off since it started in the mid-2000s. Most recently, she was joined by her mom and sister, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, to dance the night away at the YoYo Club in Palais de Tokyo in Paris, France, celebrating designer Karl Lagerfeld for Paris Fashion Week. As seen on Instagram, Kathy wore her best shades for the night and played to the crowd for what Paris called an “iconic night.”
“Wouldn’t be a Paris party if I didn’t get behind the decks,” Paris captioned the post.
Rick and Kathy Hilton celebrate their grandchildren
Longtime married couple Kathy and Rick — who share Paris and Nicky’s younger brothers, Barron and Conrad — are the proud grandparents to eight grandchildren. Nicky and James Rothschild share daughters, Lily-Grace and Teddy, and a son, Chasen; Paris and husband, Carter Reum, have a son, Phoenix, and a daughter, London; Meanwhile, Barron and his wife, Tessa, share Milou, Caspian, and Apollo.
Rick turned 70 in August, celebrating his special day surrounded by the new generation. The septuagenarian shared a photo on Instagram with the caption, “Best birthday gift celebrating with all of my grandchildren.” Kathy later shared the love-filled photo, writing, “Papa with all of his grandbabies. Happy birthday! We love you.”
Kathy Hilton shares the secret behind her marriage to Rick Hilton
During DIRECTV’s Christmas at Kathy’s event in December 2024, the Queen of Christmas shared the secret behind a happy and healthy marriage, according to Page Six.
Said Kathy, “I think just — respect … And honesty. And if you’re upset about something, you talk about it right away.”
Kathy and Rick continue going strong, and just attended a “beautiful evening in [Kathy’s] favorite city” of San Francisco, joining designer Tommy Hilfiger and his wife for the city’s fall fashion show, as Kathy shared in an Oct. 16 Instagram post. She gave “a special thank you to Oscar de la Renta for [her] beautiful dress.”
Cory Wharton Says Daughter Maya’s Open-Heart Procedure Has Inspired Him to Give Back to Families in Need

Cory Wharton says his three-year-old daughter Maya’s latest open-heart surgery has inspired him to give back to other children and families, noting that his charitable efforts are “a far cry from MTV.”
As The Ashley previously told you, Cory and ex-girlfriend Taylor Selfridge’s daughter Maya, who was born with a rare form of heart disease called tricuspid atresia, recently underwent her final open-heart surgery called the Fontan. Two weeks after the surgery, Taylor– who also shares daughter Mila with Cory– told fans that the procedure had improved Maya’s oxygenation levels, as well as her overall coloring.
(According to the Cleveland Clinic website, a Fontan procedure “improves circulation in people who have only one working heart ventricle. This problem happens because of one of several congenital heart diseases. The Fontan procedure lets oxygen-poor blood from the lower part of your body go straight to your pulmonary artery– and then lungs– for oxygen instead of going through your heart first.”)
Cory revealed to TMZ this week that, while Maya’s surgery was successful and she was ultimately discharged from Children’s Hospital Los Angeles after a two-week recovery, he realizes that some families aren’t as fortunate.
“I was just happy that we were able to leave the Children’s Hospital, because there’s a lot of families there that they’re not gonna leave, they’re waiting a year or two for a heart transplant,” he said. “ … It’s sad man, walking around there, but there were people in that building that found a way to smile and … just by talking to them over time, I was just like, these people are staying positive when they’re at their lowest and it was crazy for me to see and experience.”
Cory went on to say that the recent experience has inspired him to find ways to help those in need.
“I’m just so thankful to God that we made it out of the hospital, my daughter’s fine and now the biggest thing for me is, like, I’m trying to give back,” he said. “I wanna do whatever I can to try to help out [at] Children’s Hospital or [with] young ones that are in need.
“I wanna give back a little bit … it’s a far cry from MTV, but I wanna try to do something positive with what I got going now,” he added.
As you may remember, Cory and Taylor previously shared that they learned about Maya’s heart condition when Taylor was about 22 weeks pregnant, at which point they were told that Maya would need a series of procedures due to the condition. At just six days old, Maya had a stent put in place; later that year, Maya– then seven-months-old– underwent her first open-heart surgery, during which she suffered some complications.
Taylor shared this month that Maya should not need any more open-heart surgeries in her lifetime; and if she does, it would not be until adulthood.
