Kady McDermott SPARKS CONTROVERSY after spending over £3,000 to fly her dog business class while moving from the UK to Dubai

KADY McDermott splashed out over £3,000 to fly her dog business class, as she quit the UK to move to Dubai.

Like a lot of former Islanders, Kady has decided to make Dubai her home full time.

Today she revealed she was taking her dog with her as she relocated abroad.

Taking to Instagram Kady shared a video where she talked through her experience of flying business class with her pet pooch Coby.

Introducing the clip, she told fans: “Oh my god, so the day has finally come where me and Kobe are moving to 

However, what shocked fans was how much she paid for her dog to fly business class with her.

The Islander revealed that in total she had spent £3,000.

“So it is expensive but he’s worth it,” she told fans. “I could never ever move anywhere without bringing my little man with me.”

RECENT BREAK-UP

Kady could be looking for a fresh start in Dubai after her romance with her millionaire boyfriend came to an end AGAIN.

The star had been with Henry Simmons, 25, since September 2024 – though the pair have had a string of make-ups and break-ups since.

However, after confirming their romance was back on once again in April, insiders told The Sun Online in July that they have already split, this time with Henry doing the dumping.

A source told us at the time: “Henry and Kady have had their ups and downs since they started dating.

“Henry called things off again a couple of weeks ago for the 

“He’s been accused of cheating on her in the past and she took him back – and she’ll no doubt give it another go again once he comes crawling back.”

The source added: “Her friends are worried about her but she’s smitten  – and loves the lifestyle that comes with dating Henry.”

Kady started dating Henry shortly after her split from Ouzy See, who she got together with during a stint in Love Island.

Just three months after he started dating Kady, she made it clear in December that she was on the outs with Henry – even declaring she was “done with men”.

BECOMING A STAR

Kady has been famous for nearly a decade after bursting into the 2016 villa as a bombshell.

It was there she met now ex-boyfriend Scott Thomas, and the pair went on to finish in third place.

After leaving the villa, they tried to make ago of it, but split not long after.

Kady, who makes her fortune as influencer, also had a second go at Love Island in 2023.

'Fire Country' Fans, Stephanie Arcila Broke Her Silence About Her Season 4 Exit

This story contains spoilers from Fire Country season 4.

As Fire Country continues to air every Friday night on CBS, it's hard not to notice a fan-favorite character missing.

For those who tuned into the season 4 premiere earlier in October, they may remember seeing Gabriela Perez (played by 

Stephanie Arcila) leave Edgewater in the aftermath of the fire that killed Vince Leone (portrayed by Billy Burke). She also offered to help recruit potential first responders for Cal Fire around the U.S., as she's trying to figure her feelings out for Bode Leone (

Max Thieriot). And even though she has emotional ties to Edgewater and everyone she'd leave behind (like her dad Manny, played by Kevin Alejandro), it was clear she needed to do this for herself and take the risk.

Given how Gabriela's influence on the CBS drama has drawn viewers in over the course of the show, it does leave us wondering why Stephanie Arcila left Fire Country. 

As it turns out, the show's higher-ups alluded to Stephanie's exit earlier in the year.

When executive producer/co-creator Joan Phelan and showrunner Tia Napolitano spoke to Deadline about Gabriela after the season 3 finale, they explained how they hoped to take 

Fire Country in a different direction for season 4.

"It really just comes down to what’s best creatively," Joan explained in April 2025.

"There’s danger in this sort of job, so we wanted to honor that and really up the stakes," Tia added in the same interview. "You want the opportunity for that door to open, for someone to walk out of it, or for someone to walk into it. We’re really leaning into that aspect of the show as well as honoring the authenticity."

Fire Country has proven that point well, with Bode questioning his future and his mom Sharon Leone (Diane Farr) trying to grieve the loss of her husband. But what does this mean for Stephanie and the potential to see her back on the show?

While it's unclear if Gabriela will ever return to Edgewater, Stephanie did note there's always a chance for the paramedic to make an appearance.

"I never say never," she stated in a separate 

Deadline interview in April 2025. "Life takes us through so many avenues, and Gabriela is such a gift to me in my career, personally and professionally... As for the future, I’ve learned that these writers always surprise me, and I have no expectations, just excitement."

Well, keeping this in mind, we definitely would love to see Gabriela—and subsequently, Stephanie—back our on TV screens. And who knows? We're keeping our fingers crossed for Gabriela to find her romantic happily ever after with Bode in the future.
