GIA GIUDICE SLAMS NEXT GEN NYC: "THEY WANTED ME TO BE TERESA'S PUPPET, THAT'S NOT ME!"

Gia Giudice addressed not being “like[d]” by some fans of Next Gen NYC. The star – daughter of the Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice – suggested the show wanted her to be “mini Teresa,” as she revealed what side of her she wishes fans would’ve seen.
During season 1, some viewers criticized Gia for stepping into fights to defend her friends when she wasn’t really involved. Recently, Gia switched gears to compete on Special Forces, enduring brutal challenges and conditions.
On Casual Chaos, Gia addressed how a fan didn’t like her on season 1
“I actually saw this really funny TikTok, well, it was funny to me, of this girl. She posted a video. She was like, ‘I really didn’t like Gia that much, and after watching Special Forces, like she is my favorite … I just fear that when I watch her on season 2 of Next Gen, I’m not going to like her again,'” recalled Gia, who admitted that season 1 of Next Gen was “not it for me.”
“And when this girl said this in this video, I was like, ‘I get it. Like I get why I maybe wasn’t your favorite on Next Gen. Like I didn’t love me on Next Gen [either], but I do love me on Special Forces, because that’s me.”
On a different episode of her podcast, Gia suggested that Next Gen was a “good experience,” but the show perhaps portrayed her like a younger version of Teresa.
“I think they were waiting for me to always have these mini-Teresa moments because they love that nepo baby,” she explained, via All About TRH. “I just hated giving that to them because I was like, that’s not me.”
“I genuinely have the biggest heart. I’m a hustler, I’m a hard worker, and I guess I could say that I wish more of that was captured,” said the star. “Rather than mini-Teresa moments … [The show] was a mirror and I self-reflected and now I know how I’m going to be a better version of myself moving forward.”
“I have a ‘mom instinct’ and am a ‘protector,’” Gia went on, “but [I] also need to pull back sometimes because not everyone wants [my] opinion … I think people were able to see I am compassionate and I mean well … Even if I come off harsh [in some instances].”

Scheana Shay reveals where she stands with Mike Shay today
Before Scheana released her best-selling memoir, My Good Side, in July, she admitted to meeting up with Mike in January. She revealed, during an episode of her podcast, that she wanted to give him a heads-up about her book, where she openly talked about their relationship and their divorce (more on that down below).
"We went and got lunch last week," she said. "I wanted to tell him about it in person. I didn't want him to find out about it online. I was very honest. I told him that I do speak about our relationship. And he was like, 'You know what? It's your book. I don't care. It's your story.' And he was genuinely happy for me. He's known me since I was 15 years old. And he knew that this is always something I wanted to do. So he was very happy."
Scheana Shay shares new details about her relationship with Mike Shay
In her memoir, Scheana revealed that she "got caught up in the fairytale" of marrying Mike, a longtime friend of hers from high school. "It all seemed so right," she wrote. "Shay was my best friend. I love that we grew up in the same area, went to the same high school. We were both raised Catholic, and we were extremely family-oriented. One thing I remember thinking when we first started dating was that I never got sick of him. I always wanted him around. He was sweet and talented and had so much potential. I truly thought the show was a place where his music career could flourish."
But, the couple "split amicably" in 2016, after being married for two years. "Unfortunately, the timing wasn't right, and we weren't meant to be together in the long run," Scheana noted in the memoir.
