Emotional moment Made in Chelsea star reveals he has end-stage liver disease & won’t survive 5 years without transplant
A MADE in Chelsea star has revealed he has end-stage liver disease in heartbreaking scenes.
The 28-year-old, who is engaged to be married and expecting his first child with his wife-to-be, added that he won’t survive five years without getting a transplant.

Sam Vanderpump, who is a current mainstay on Made in Chelsea, is the nephew of Lisa Vanderpump.
He was born with liver disease, but it laid dormant in his body until he was taken ill last December.
Speaking to Made in Chelsea icon Ollie Locke in Monday’s episode of the hit E4 show, Sam opened up about his health battle.
He said: “There is no hope of my liver getting better and he said, ‘I wouldn’t be having this call with you if I thought you could make it through the next four or five years’.
“They’re sending me for liver transplant assessment, so yeah.”
Ollie asked Sam how he was feeling, to which he said: “The way I look at it is I’m healthy now, hopefully I will remain healthy all the way up until I’ll get a call and go in for surgery and then I wake up and I’ll be healthier.”
The star then said other people will be “higher up on the list”, adding that he’s unsure when his transplant will happen.
Fans were quick to react to Sam’s heartbreaking health battle.
One tweeted: “Praying Sam Vanderpump gets a healthy transplant successfully and lives a full and healthy life for himself, Alice and his baby.”
Another wrote: “Oh my gosh watching #MadeInChelsea and it got so sad with Sam Vanderpump’s news.”

While a third penned: “Sam Vanderpump’s news have us heartbroken. How brave is Alice?! Wishing the three of you strength.”
The NHS Organ Donation also tweeted: “You may have seen in tonight’s episode of #madeinchelsea, that one of the cast members Sam Vanderpump needs an organ transplant.
“Our thoughts are with Sam and his family as they face this news. We hope that his courage in speaking out will offer inspiration to others.”
The account went on: “Sadly, thousands of people are currently waiting for a life-saving transplant because not enough people agree to donate their organs.
“If you want to be an organ donor and save lives after your death, please confirm your decision on the NHS Organ Donor Register and ensure your loved ones know and support your decision.”
Sam revealed earlier this year that he “nearly died” after suffering from liver and kidney failure which later led to life-threatening sepsis.
He was rushed to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital last December with the flu when he was told his liver and kidneys had stopped working.
“I thought I was going to die,” he said at the time.
“I didn’t think my body could cope and that was the scariest thing. It was terrifying.”

He added: “I remember the doctor saying to me that I was going into liver and kidney failure. I burst into tears.
“My mum didn’t react badly, you would expect her to be in complete meltdown, but she didn’t want to scare me.
“The words they used for the function of my liver were ‘deranged’ and ‘demonic’.
“You don’t feel your organs normally but when they stop working and because my liver and kidneys weren’t working my heart was in overdrive, my pancreas was struggling, my spleen wasn’t well…
“And you can feel all this pain and uncomfortableness, I was really, really fighting to keep myself alive. I didn’t think I was going to survive or see the outside of the hospital again.
“You never think the flu will lead to you being in a hospital bed and nearly dying.
“They told my mum that if I had got to hospital 24-48 hours later, I wouldn’t have made it. By calling the ambulance, my girlfriend literally saved my life.”
Sam is smitten with his model fiancée Alice Yaxley, 24, who is currently pregnant with the couple’s first child.

RHOBH’s Erika Jayne Questions What RHOC’s Gretchen Rossi ‘Is Hurt About’

Gretchen Rossi sure is stirring the pot in the latest season of Real Housewives of Orange County. And to think, she’s just come back from over a decade’s hiatus. But she didn’t skip a beat. Old feuds flared back to life, and

When Bravo announced that Gretchen would be coming back, fans (and Tamra Judge) were divided. But love her or hate her, you can’t deny that Gretchen brought back that old school drama and chaos that’s made this season very interesting. And one thing’s for sure, Gretchen sure can hold a grudge.
Erika Jayne can’t understand Gretchen Rossi “beefing” Tamra Judge for 12 years
When discussion RHOC on their podcast, Two T’s in a Pod, Erika and Teddi Mellencamp talked about Gretchen’s ability to remember every detail of every feud despite the number of years in between.
When Teddi mentioned that Gretchen told Emily Simpson she felt hurt, Erika asked, “About what?” Both she and Teddi wondered what Gretchen was hurt by after all this time.
“What is Gretchen hurt about? 12 years of history like … just give it up,” Erika added. Teddi agreed and added that there hasn’t been anything for years.
“This would be one thing if this were 12 consecutive years of history,” Teddi admitted.
“I can’t remember 12 days ago,” Erika said (Teddi can’t remember 12 minutes ago!). “So why would I be beefing for 12 non-consecutive years? My god.”
It can be argued that the two girls are decidedly more on Tamra’s side, hence the discussion. But the truth is, it has been a bit of time, and one would think Gretchen would have moved on. However, to be fair, feuds do take two to work and Gretchen isn’t feuding with herself.
She did make up with Jo De La Rosa after 14 years. So maybe in two more years, Gretchen and Tamra will patch things up. In the meantime, we can continue to see their feud play out on the RHOC.
