DWTS says goodbye to fan-favorite couple as viewers accuse judges of ‘favoritism’ and giving undeserving scores
DANCING with the Stars has eliminated another fan-favorite couple as fans accuse the judges of playing favorites and not giving the contestants the scores they deserve.
The ballroom dancing competition is halfway through the season, and they celebrated with Wicked night, in honor of Wicked: For Good, which hits theaters next month.

After an emotional Dedication night last week, where all were spared from elimination, fans expected to see one pairing leave at the end of Tuesday’s show.
In the final moments of the episode, hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro revealed that Scott Hoying and his partner, Rylee Arnold, received the fewest votes and were going home.
The duo received praise for their dance routine to the song The Wizard and I; however, between their latest scores and votes and last week’s, they weren’t able to secure enough to move forward.
Fans were surprised, given that Andy Richter and his partner Emma Slater had been at the bottom of the leaderboard throughout much of the competition.
Viewers were even more shocked about the near-perfect scores given to the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Leavitt and her partner Mark Ballas, later in the night.
Critics ripped apart the judges online over three of them gifting the couple scores of 10 —the highest they could give —the first of the season.
Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and guest judge, Wicked film director, Jon M. Chu, each gave 10s, while Derek Hough thought the performance deserved a score of 9.
Fans slammed the judges for being too generous with their high scores and thought their performance was no better than several of their competitors.
“How in the world did Whitney get 3 10’s?” one person wrote on X.
“I am sorry but are we watching the same show tonight? These judges are crazy. How the hell did Robert not get all 10’s!? He was way better than all of these people. Don’t get me started on Whitney she did not deserve 10’s,” another commented.
DWTS judge Carrie Ann Inaba slammed by two furious pros for ‘unfair’ critiques after fans call for her to be fired
“I’m still upset the only 10s were for Whitney..,” a third remarked.
“I really can’t begin to understand carrie ann’s voting criteria beyond it just being favoritism and going off pure vibes,” a fourth added.
“The favoritism is the worst it’s ever been. The credibility of the judging/show is seriously compromised. Please fix this,” a fifth echoed.
“Am I MISSING SOMETHING!? I just don’t think some of these dances deserved 10s at all! Like not even 9s,” chimed in a sixth.
Jordan Chiles and her partner, Ezra Sosa, received identical scores to close out the show, a result some fans also questioned.
It turns out, the dancers haven’t been too pleased with their treatment on the show either.
The U.S. Sun exclusively reported that multiple DWTS dancers threatened to quit after feeling “disrespected” by producers.
An insider revealed that there’s been tension among the professional dancers over “the producers’ strategic partner preference.”
Mainly, the veteran DWTS pros are “feeling overshadowed” by some of the younger talent on the show and are considering not returning next season.
That might not be the only shakeup fans can expect to see moving forward.
An insider also revealed that production is pushing for former pro Kym Johnson-Herjavec to return with a permanent spot on the show after receiving an overwhelmingly positive response to her guest-judging appearance last week.
“It’s a no-brainer to get her back. There’s already an active discussion to see how they can make it happen,” the source said.
