Britani Bateman Shares Update on Relationship With Daughters, Which RHOSLC Costar is Different Off-Camera, & Shocking Way Met Jared Osmond
Britani Bateman shared a relationship update with her daughters and recalled how she first met her ex-fiancé, Jared Osmond. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star also revealed which castmate is “very different” off-camera, and she said she’s now on
In the new season, Britani’s estranged daughter Olivia claimed her mom changed after getting married to Olivia’s stepdad. The teenager suggested that Britani prioritized him (and later Jared) over Olivia and her siblings.
On The Viall Files, Britani revealed an update on her relationship with her daughters, with whom she wasn’t speaking.
“Just surface level, it’s so much better,” she said, via Entertainment Now. “Like for me, all is right with the world now. Like, there’s hardly anything that can go wrong for me now, with my babies. Now that I have my babies, that’s all I need.”
According to Britani, she married her second husband because, at least in part, she wanted her kids to have a complete family.
“There is no worse pain than what happened to my little family,” said Britani, referring to her first divorce. “I wanted the privilege of what you guys have, and what your parents have, and what my parents had … I wanted that, and I just saw this as being the best way to rear a child. Two parents where you can bounce ideas off of each other, you can tag team, you can give different kinds of discipline and different kinds of love … there’s nothing better.”
Though she wanted the “perfect family,” things went “horribly wrong.”
“Whatever happened estranged my daughters from me, and I’ve never experienced more hell in my entire life,” she said.
As for her breakup with Jared, Britani shared, “We just decided that our kids weren’t on board, and we really want our kids to be a part of it. They were not happy because we were so on-and-off last year. So, we decided to call it off.”
Britani claimed she and Jared first met after he called her “out of the blue” to reveal that his fiancée was allegedly having an affair with Britani’s estranged husband, amid their divorce. At the time, Britani didn’t know Jared at all, and she allegedly had a “protective order” against her ex.
She said the call gave her a “paralyzing feeling,” as she had “no idea” about the alleged affair.
As for her castmates, Britani said Mary Cosby acts the same both on and off camera, and hinted she’s “starting to like me off camera.”
“Angie’s very very different off camera,” she went on. “She’s so nice off camera. Heather, Whitney [are] kind souls on and off. Bronwyn… let’s skip that.”
Regarding her once-close relationship with Lisa, Britani suggested she’s now on her “D-list,” as Lisa gets “wounded easily.” She hinted their journey took a surprising turn, and Britani is now “very hurt.”
